Emotional Waves

In Human Design, the emotional waves that originate from the Solar Plexus Center shape how we experience, process, and express feelings over time. Rather than emotions arriving in a steady, predictable way, each Solar Plexus channel carries its own cyclical pattern—a distinct “waveform” that rises and falls, builds and releases, or pulses with intensity. These waves influence everything from decision-making to relationship dynamics, often requiring space, clarity, and emotional neutrality before truth becomes accessible. Understanding the specific emotional currents of the channels—whether tribal, individual, or collective—helps us recognize that our emotional landscape is not random but energetically patterned. This awareness brings compassion, regulation, and permission to honor the natural timing of our emotional process.

"Solar Plexus to Root: when the solar plexus is connected to the root the emotions are under enormous pressure which is experienced as nervous energy if there is no further definition to either the sacral or the throat. In this kind of chemistry, the emotions can only be accessed through other people's chemistry or through sporadic planetary transits that may release the emotional pressure." Ra on types of emotional chemistry

Channel of Mating: A Design Focused on Reproduction. Here to penetrate others, breaking down barriers to open the way for intimacy and the birthing of new endeavors

"Solar Plexus to Sacral: when the solar plexus is connected to the sacral, the emotions tend to emerge as sacral sounds, like growls, sighs and groans. This is also the only direct link between our emotional nature and our sexuality and that's it may come as no surprise that it governs our genetic strategies for mating. All the different variations of the emotional wave are released through this channel." Ra on types of emotional chemistry

 37-40 Channel

"Solar Plexus to Ego: when the solar plexus is connected to the ego we have the meeting of two very powerful motors, the emotional drive and the power of will. This type of emotional chemistry requires a constant balancing of these two energies. The individual emotional wave and the energy of the ego to work within the community." Ra on types of emotional chemistry
